SKILLS:
1. Familiar with Microsoft SQL Server related DBA activities.
2. Knowledgeable of all aspects Microsoft SQL Server including administration, replication, backup/restore procedures and related components such as Reporting Services, Analysis Services and Integration Services.
3. Reviews service related reports (e.g.: database backups, maintenance, monitoring) on a daily basis to ensure service related issues are identified and resolved within established SLAs
4. Perform operations like:
Execute and verify scripts, upgrades, migrations, patching, bug fixes, configuration and validation.
Owns, tracks and resolves database related incidents and requests
Schedule jobs, backup and restore databases
Maintains database support tools, database tables and dictionaries
Process database change requests, including the creation and modification of databases, tables, views, stored procedures, triggers, jobs, etc. in accordance with change control policies.
Assist with Windows Server configuration and management as it relates to MS SQL Server installation and performance.
Install, configure, monitor and maintain databases in the production, development, and quality assurance environments.
